Poor Man's Breakfast

The Annual Poor Man's Breakfast was started by Almeta in 1994 as the "Poor People's Breakfast." This event allows community members to come together for breakfast and fellowship, while also presenting them with the opportunity to meet and speak to their local council members! This event takes place on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and is part of the MLK Jr. celebrations in Columbia. The annual Poor Man's Breakfast is in honor of the life's work of Dr. King as well as our founder Almeta Crayton.

**This event is free and open to the community.
